Diane Davidson comes from a background of secretarial
/ administrative / word-processing positions in
an extensive career.
Born and educated in Wellington, Diane specialised
as a legal secretary, gaining experience in this
field in New Zealand, Australia and London. Upon
her return to Wellington and marriage to Keith,
who has been in the newspaper industry for 25 years,
she was employed for a number of years as PA to
a well-known Police Association personality and
left that position when her husband took up a position
in Hamilton.
During her decade in Waikato Diane raised a family
and was involved in a number of community organisations
before returning to the workplace, spending some
time in a valuers office and then as secretary to
a Queen's Counsel. The family moved to Masterton
10 years ago when Keith joined the Wairarapa Times-Age
and Diane herself then became involved in the newspaper
industry as a typesetter.
Diane has been the editor of a New Zealand dog
breed club magazine and during her tenure in this
position the magazine won the supreme award in the
Best Dog Club Magazine in New Zealand competition.
Diane became interested in the Internet and its
associated technology about 9 years ago and took
the opportunity to become involved in the set-up
and development of the Times-Age Internet site. Following her success with the Times-Age site Diane
became further involved in web-authoring and a selection
of the sites she has authored to date (numbering
over 70) are available for viewing in her portfolio.
